Toyota Motor (NYSE:TM) Sets Sales Target of 1 Million Compact Vehicles – F, HMC, GM, TM
Toyota Motor Corporation (NYSE:TM) senior executive reported on Friday that the Japanese major auto maker plans to achieve a sales target of 1 million compact vehicles in growing markets in the coming 3 years.
Executive Vice President Yukitoshi Funo stated at a press conference that they plan to reach at the level of 1 million by 2015 or to reach that level even prior.
Yukitoshi Funo also declared that the corporation plains to get 100% of its parts locally in growing markets and to make hybrid system components in Asia.
Toyota Motor has mentioned that it plans to boost the ratio of sales in growing markets to 50% of its worldwide sales by 2015, from the present 40%.
