JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE:JPM) donates worth $500,000 hardware to KIPP NYC

JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE:JPM) yesterday donated $500,000 worth  computer hardware to KIPP New York, Inc.The company made this donation in order to improve educational opportunities and to support KIPP.

JPM’s this effort will become an integral part of the elementary, middle and high schools’ technology infrastructure network. It will help KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program) to enhance its ability to fulfill and expand its curricula.

Knowledge is Power Program as an established, scalable network that provides high-quality public charter education, will needed an advanced technology infrastructure. The donation will act as catalyst for KIPP to improve its technological infrastructure and also let it fulfill various programmatic and operational needs.

In short run, the hardware installation will help KIPP’s 9 school teachers and administrators to enhance their efficiency, expand and integrate data storage capabilities. It will also provide quicker backup support and disaster recovery protocols.

Looking at a broader view, it will let KIPP offer more classes to students in new disciplines, like video production and editing.

At the close of the trading day, JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) shares rose +0.78% to settle at $42.64. Intraday trading was between $42.42 – $43.09.  In the past year, the stock has traded within a range of $30.42 – $46.49. The last session’s volume of 21.95 million shares was down from the average daily trading volume of 22.41 million shares.

Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C) shares were down -0.51% to close at $37.00. The stock traded between $36.83 – $37.56 during the last trading session.  In the last 12 months the shares have traded between $24.40 and $38.72. The last session’s volume of 29.76 million shares was a bit lower than their average daily trading volume of 37.54 million shares.

Bank of America Corp (NYSE:BAC) shares in the last session were down -0.57% closing at $10.51. The stock traded in a range of $10.50 – $10.71.  In the last year the stock has moved within a range of $4.92 – $10.71. The last session’s volume of 159.12 million shares was up from their average daily trading volume of 157.82 million shares.

Another rival company Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE:WFC), traded up +0.73% moving to $33.29. Intraday trading recorded the stock price in a range between $33.05 – $33.44.  In the previous 52 weeks the price has traded between $25.18 – $36.60. The last session’s volume of 20.84 million shares was down from their average daily trading volume of 21.14 million shares.
