JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE:JPM) yesterday donated $500,000 worth computer hardware to KIPP New York, Inc.The company made this donation in order to improve educational opportunities and to support KIPP.
JPM’s this effort will become an integral part of the elementary, middle and high schools’ technology infrastructure network. It will help KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program) to enhance its ability to fulfill and expand its curricula.
Knowledge is Power Program as an established, scalable network that provides high-quality public charter education, will needed an advanced technology infrastructure. The donation will act as catalyst for KIPP to improve its technological infrastructure and also let it fulfill various programmatic and operational needs.
In short run, the hardware installation will help KIPP’s 9 school teachers and administrators to enhance their efficiency, expand and integrate data storage capabilities. It will also provide quicker backup support and disaster recovery protocols.
Looking at a broader view, it will let KIPP offer more classes to students in new disciplines, like video production and editing.
