Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) Seems To Be Moving On A Recovery Track After Hitting Lows – (F, TSLA, HMC, GM)
Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) shares extended gains, recovering from the worst hit it faced in the start of this month. F is on its way to realize an increase of 29% in Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle sales in 2012 as compared to last year. The sales gain appeared after a major modification of the CPO program and as stated by general manager John Felice, this rise suggests a great victory for Ford, its dealers and its consumers.
Felice further said that due to a strong CPO program, large numbers of vehicles were kept in the dealer network. It enhances residual values as well as increases the profit of the dealers and at the same time attracts more consumers toward Ford and Lincoln lots and eventually offers lower costs of vehicles to the consumers. He also said that as the sales of their new vehicles keeps increasing, ultimately the demand for better quality, low mileage pre-owned Ford and Lincoln vehicles will also increase.
CPO Ford Motor Company vehicles currently offer a 12-month/12,000-mile comprehensive limited warranty coverage to consumers versus the previously provided 3-months/3,000 mile warranty coverage.
