American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE:AEO) stock surged 10% in trading on Monday following the firm reported that it would get out of the kids apparel business.
The Pittsburgh-based corporation’s stock (NYSE: AEO) was increased $1.80 to $20.20 about 1 p.m. following Friday’s 77kids declaration and a separate announcement that CFO Joan Hilson would leave American Eagle by the end of July.

American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE:AEO) surged 10.49% or +$1.93 to close the trading at $20.33 following it hit intra day high level of $20.45. The total traded volume in the previous trading session was 12.47 million shares as compared to average 5.79 million shares. Its fifty two week trading range was $10.00 – $21.13. The total market capitalization reached $3.98 billion.
