Alcatel Lucent SA (ADR) (NYSE:ALU) has selected David J. Geary as president of its Wireless division. It is being reported that he will start his as president for the wireless division on January 1, 2013.
Prior to this, David J. Geary was the president of the Wireline division. The new president will be given various tasks to improve the company’s mobile radio access products and technologies. The development for mobile radio access products includes wide spread solutions for 4G LTE, WCDMA, GSM and CDMA.
Mr. Geary will report to Philippe Keryer, who is the president of the newly-formed Networks & Platforms Business Group. The Wireline division will now be headed by Federico Guillen.
